FOX is making some decisions about its biggest shows. 911 Lone Star is one of those shows. Will Season 5 happen?

There have been some shocking decisions in the world of TV cancellations and renewals this year. 911 being canceled by FOX and moving to ABC for Season 7 is certainly one of the biggest surprises. It certainly led to a lot of questions about the spin-off series 911 Lone Star.

Would FOX cancel this series as well? Will we get a Season 5 of the Texas-set drama? Here’s everything we know about the series for the 2023–2024 season.

Is 911 Lone Star Season 5 happening?

There is some great news. Deadline confirms that 911 Lone Star Season 5 is definitely happening. It’s not moving networks like its parent show. Instead, FOX is keeping this show.

It looks like the decision to move the parent show is all financial. It’s too much for FOX despite it being the strongest show on the network. Lone Star is the second-strongest show on the network, so there is still hope for success.

Could this mean the first responder drama will move back to Monday nights? Will it mean that it moves back to the fall? We could certainly see both of those things happen in the 2023–2024 season.
