ABC fall 2021 scheduled: Big Sky moves, black-ish held to 2022

The big networks are making some changes to their fall lineups. The ABC fall 2021 schedule is out with various shows on the move.

One of the most notable moves is black-ish not being part of the ABC fall 2021 schedule. During the previous fall cycle, the initial plan was to move the comedy to the midseason but ABC backtracked after backlash. This time, black-ish has been renewed for a final season and is moving to the midseason. The good thing about that is that it’ll get an uninterrupted run.

Wednesdays will have its comedy block again, even without black-ish. Things will kick off as usual with The Goldbergs, which will then lead into the new series The Wonder Years. The Conners and Home Economics will continue throughout the night before switching to a drama to end, A Million Little Things.

Big Sky moves night, The Bachelorette Season 18 premieres in the fall

Other than not having black-ish, there isn’t that much in the way of surprising decisions. Big Sky is probably the biggest move, switching from Tuesday nights to Thursday nights. Thursdays are tricky, especially that last timeslot of the night. Hopefully, the fans will follow and plenty of people watching Grey’s Anatomy will stick around for more of Cassie and Jenny.

What’s taking the Tuesday night slot Big Sky will leave empty? After a two-hour episode of The Bachelorette Season 18, a show that proved successful in this timeslot last fall, ABC will bring a new series. Queens premieres, a series about four women who found fame as a hip-hop group in the ’90s and decide to get back together in their 40s to chase that dream again.
