It took The CW some time to make some final decisions, but those decisions are in. Is All American: Homecoming renewed for Season 3?

All American was quickly renewed after Nexstar took over The CW. It turned out that the renewal for that drama was in the contract. All other shows were up for debate, and that had us worried. It was even worse when Nexstar made it clear that only a few shows would make it through.

Three shows were left on the bubble at the time of the Upfronts. Would All American: Homecoming end up canceled? The CW has made its final decisions.

Is All American: Homecoming Season 3 happening?

It’s good news for fans of the series. A third season is officially happening. It won’t be part of the fall schedule, though. While All American returns in the fall, Homecoming wasn’t renewed in time for the fall schedule to be announced. It’s being held for the midseason.

This explains the decision to reduce the episode count to 13 episodes then. Yes, it is a shorter season, joining the likes of Walker and Superman & Lois. Does this mean it’s the last season? Possibly, but The CW isn’t billing it as that.

Fans are certainly happy about the renewal. It means that cliffhanger at the end of Season 2 will be resolved.
