There have been a lot of questions about the future of Blue Bloods. CBS has now made a decision, but is it good news?

There have been a lot of concerns about a couple of shows on CBS. Blue Bloods was one of them. We learned that negotiations for the renewal of the series had stalled, and it was all due to costs.

While the series is the strongest on Friday nights and remains strong on the network overall, the cost of it is too much for CBS. That’s not surprising when you consider the high-profile cast, which includes Tom Selleck.

The time has come for CBS to make an official decision. Just how good is the news?

Blue Bloods Season 14 is officially happening

There is some good news for fans of the series. There will be more Reagan family dinners. Negotiations have come to an end, and CBS has renewed Blue Bloods for a 14th season.

Could this be the last? The network didn’t say anything, but there are certainly signs that it will be. One of the signs is the pay cut the cast has taken.

That pay cut is high. The cast and crew have agreed to take as much of a 25% pay cut to keep the show on the air, according to Deadline. Something like this usually means that the series is coming to an end. It’s possible that the network and the cast agree that this is a final season to wrap up the storylines.

However, ther were previous comments about getting to 15 seasons. It would be nice if that could happen.
