The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 is officially happening. It’s based on one of Jenny Han’s books, but which one in the series?
There has been some excellent news. A third season of The Summer I Turned Pretty is definitely happening. Amazon confirmed the renewal shorty before the sixth episode of the season. There are two more episodes to complete the second book.
We know that this third season will follow another one of Jenny Han’s books. The question is which one. Well, the announcement video for the season told us which one.
Which Jenny Han book is The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 based on?
This season will follow the third book in the series. It’s also the last book in the series, although fans would love to see more considering the ending. We’d also be happy for some novellas to tell the stories in between the second and third book.
You’ll want to get your hands on We’ll Always Have Summer*. You can always get the full trilogy, as you’ll want to see the story progression in written word throughout the whole series.
What is We’ll Always Have Summer about?
Okay, we’re getting into spoilers. If you haven’t read the books yet, this part is going to ruin how The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 is likely to end.
We’ll Always Have Summer* picks up two years after the events of the second book. Belly is now at Finch College and has been with Jeremiah for the past two years. Conrad told her to leave with him after all, and that’s exactly what she did.
Belly is getting some doubts, though. That’s especially the case when she learns that Jeremiah has slept with someone else. Cheating is cheating. It’s not a mistake. Belly needs to decide whether her relationship with Jeremiah is worth saving. Is this really true love, or is her true love somewhere else out there?
