Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 will premiere in August 2020
All eyes have been on the premiere of Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8. NBC has finally made a decision, and it’s coming very soon.
It won’t be long until the beginning of the end. The final season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is going to premiere in August 2021, according to Deadline. This initially sounds like a bad slot for such a great show, but it’s actually going to be a huge send-off for the Nine-Nine.
The show will premiere after the Tokyo Olympics. With so many people tuning in for the Closing Ceremony, it will be like shows getting the slot post-Super Bowl on CBS.
The Olympics is set to run from July 23 to Aug. 8. Tokyo has said that the games won’t be postponed another year despite the coronavirus pandemic still ongoing. We’re looking at the start of August for Brooklyn Nine-Nine because of this news, which is a little earlier than expected when NBC said the show would be held for the 2021-2022 season.

Is Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 really the last?
This is going to be the beginning of the end. NBC has confirmed that the cop comedy will come to an end with a shortened eighth season. And it is going to be a short season.
There will only be 10 episodes to the season. It’s certainly going to feel bittersweet, especially since the show didn’t air this fall. The delay has been due to the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protests. The writers had four episodes already written when they decided to scrap everything and start again with the BLM protests in mind.
NBC at least wants to give Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 a good slot so the show can go out with a bang.
