Melissa Fumero has been cast in a new Marvel series. Fans are now concerned she will be leaving Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but don’t panic, it’s highly unlikely
First things first. Congratulations Melissa Fumero on being cast in the upcoming Marvel TV animated series M.O.D.O.X.! The Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress who has portrayed Amy Santiago since the series began will provide the voice for, get this, a character called Melissa.
The series will be available on Hulu. Fumero has been cast alongside Ben Schwartz, Aimee Garcia, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Beck Bennet, Jon Daly, and Sam Richardson.

But what does this all mean for Fumero’s role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine? Will she be leaving? Is Amy Santiago about to be written out of the show? They surely can’t do that? Amy and Jake only just got married. How would Boyle cope if the couple came to an end?
Well, the good news is, it’s highly unlikely to happen. In fact, we’re so confident it won’t happen that we’re just telling everyone to calm down. Melissa Fumero is not leaving the 99.
The reason we’re so confident is because it’s not uncommon for actors to have one or more projects on the go. At the end of the day. As long as the don’t break their current contracts with whatever role they’re currently working on and there are no filming clashes. They can pretty much take on whatever role they please.

As the role of M.O.D.O.X. is a voice role. Filming clashes between Brooklyn Nine-Nine and M.O.D.O.X. will be at the absolute minimum. Therefore, it will be fairly easy for Fumero to move from one project to another.
So yeah, we’re not worried about Amy’s fate in the 99 and you shouldn’t be either. So, if you were concerned when you heard the news then please stop. It’s all going to be OK.
