Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 release date, cast, trailer, synopsis, and more

NBC has kept quiet on the release date of a few of its top TV shows. Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 is one of them, and here’s what we know.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 is happening. Eventually.

We still don’t have a premiere date for it. It’s one of the shows that was promised in the fall but pushed to the new year when filming didn’t quite work out. Manifest and New Amsterdam are among the shows in the same boat.

It was pushed to later in 2021 when January came around. As one of the L.A.-based shows, it’s been difficult to film things. That’s especially since the writers scrapped the first four episodes they’d written to re-do everything to touch on topics raised during the Black Lives Matter protests in the summer.

Now it’s time to look at what we do know. We’ll be sure to update everything about Season 8 here when we have more.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 release date

There isn’t a release date yet. We had hoped it would be January 2021, but it’s looking more like March or April. Hopefully, it isn’t too much later.

We’ll be sure to update as soon as a premiere date is revealed.

How NBC will work with the number of episodes and the potential to run into next fall is up for debate. Could the network shorten the series or opt for two episodes a week?

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 cast

Everyone from Season 7 will return. There is no show without the core members of the precinct.

Amy and Jake welcomed their firstborn into the world during the Season 7 finale. We’ll likely see more of this baby as Amy figures out how to do it all.

Of course, the odd guest stars are expected. Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 will try to keep things feeling as normal as possible.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 trailer

Since there’s no date yet, there isn’t a trailer. We might get a teaser to announce when the premiere date is since it’s been so long since we last had an episode.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 synopsis

Likewise, there’s no synopsis just yet. Expect storylines that touch on systemic racism, which has been raised on the series before. There’s an important episode that involves Terry and Holt.
