The Last Kingdom Season 5 is here. It has been an outstanding season, and we’re certainly ready for the movie already.

One thing that happens with any TV show is the odd mistake here and there. The Last Kingdom isn’t free of them, although there’s nothing that stands out like the Starbucks cup in Game of Thrones. There is one that stands out the most if you’re looking for it, though.

The very first episode has a mistake that is actually very reasonable and understandable. I had to watch the clip four times to really see it clearly, and that was when I knew what I was looking for.

There’s a cameraman in shot in The Last Kingdom Season 5

It’s the very first episode where the mistake shows up. You’ll need to get toward the end of the episode, just as Uhtred’s son is coming through the crowd.

Uhtred, Aethelflaed, and Aelswith look in shock at the crowd as the boy comes through, unsure of what’s going on. As the crowd parts and makes their shocked sounds, there’s a one-second clip where a cameraman shows up. Next to a guy with a blue hat, you can see a camouflage jacket and camera.

It really is only there for a second. It takes effort to pause at the exact spot. You’ll want to look carefully at the left of the screen. It really is easy to see how this was overlooked considering how much it took for me to spot it when I knew what I was looking for.

Don’t worry; this is nothing like Game of Thrones. It’s not a sign of editors getting lazy. This is simply a human error that is actually quite amusing. It’s no wonder the people are shocked. Wouldn’t you be if a cameraman suddenly popped up in a time where technology isn’t a thing?
