New Amsterdam brought us the shocking storyline of Casey and Agnes among those fired to save money. Will they return?

Just before the fall finale, we got a shocking moment. To keep Bloom, Iggy, and Reynolds at the hospital, there were a bunch of other cuts. Casey and Agnes were two of those cut, and we were devastated.

They’ve not been mentioned since. Part of that is because Max and Helen are now in London and the others are dealing with a revolution against Fuentes. However, the lack of mention has us worried about them. We need to know if the two characters will return.

Casey will return to New Amsterdam

TVLine gave us some good news about Casey. Alejandro D. Hernandez is going to be back at some point this season. We’ll get to pick up with the character now that he’s been fired from the hospital. It’s not clear if he’s going to be back as a patient, with his job back, or just bumping into Bloom or someone on the street.

What we do get to know is that the return will lead to a bit of back story about his time in the military. We’ve seen him mention his experience before, but it’s never really come up. There are a lot of ways to incorporate that in the story, such as even performing emergency medical care outside of the hospital while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

What about Agnes? There wasn’t a mention about her. We’re hoping that we will get to see her back soon.
