Eyes are on the 2023–2024 TV season. We know Chicago Med and Chicago Fire are safe. What about Chicago PD? Is Season 11 happening?

NBC has made decisions about a large bulk of its shows. A lot of it is good news, and that’s especially the case when it comes to the six Dick Wolf shows that are currently on the air.

Out of the three One Chicago shows, Chicago PD was the one we were concerned about the most for a while. NBC was talking about getting rid of the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot and handing it back over to local networks. That could have eput the cop drama on the line. Then NBC decided to keep it for at least another year.

Chicago PD Season 11 is officially happening

That meant good news for the One Chicago lineup. All three shows have been renewed. Yes, Chicago PD is officially happening. There is no need to be concerned about it just yet.

Just recently, there was talk about the One Chicago shows being renewed for multiple seasons. It looks like some deals were attempted but they didn’t go through. So, the network needed to opt for one-season renewals for now.

We don’t have the fall schedule just yet, but the cop drama has been renewed for a 22-episode season. That suggests a fall premiere and we’re sure to see the Wednesday night lineup remain the same. Why “fix” what isn’t broken?
