Doctor Who Season 12: Is that really it for [Spoiler]?

Doctor Who Season 12 very quickly wrapped up the storyline featuring a certain villain. Is that really going to be it for you know who?

Regardless of what you thought of the previous season, the first two episodes of Doctor Who Season 12 so far have been thrilling and exciting. They’ve focused on a new alien threat, touched on moments of history, and delivered a great villain with an excellent twist. And this article here is all about that villain.

If you haven’t watched Doctor Who Season 12, Episode 2 yet, be aware that there are major spoilers in this post. I highly recommend that you watch the episode first.

After the big reveal that “O” was actually The Master, we wondered how it was possible. Well, it looks like the Doc isn’t all that concerned about how The Master is back. She was certainly more concerned with how to save the human race while finding her way back to her TARDIS. Part of that involved stealing The Master’s TARDIS and getting him arrested by the Nazis. But that’s not how he seemed to come out of the story.

After all, this is The Master. He’s always one step ahead and he’s a slippery Timelord. He somehow ran for 77 years and found himself back with the Doc and her mates. That led to The Doctor revealing something that he’d told her about betraying the aliens invading Earth. Naturally, they were not impressed and they took The Master away to their own realm.

Is this really it?

Let’s be honest; this is Doctor Who and somehow, The Master always comes back. Even though The Doctor got a message from The Master shortly after to say that “if she was getting it, he was dead, (and a bit about him destroying Gallifrey),” we know that The Master would never give up that easily.

The Doctor already proved that it was possible to hitchhike a way out of the alien’s realm. She was able to grab Ada, someone who the aliens had wanted to study and understand. There’s a chance that The Master will come across someone else like that, which leads to him escaping this realm.

He’s not been killed off. And there’s no telling how long he’ll be able to survive in this weird realm. Whether he comes back from another time and has to be on the run for another 77 or more years or whether he ends up back in The Doc’s current time, he’ll find a way back. We just know it.
