Emily in Paris renewed for Season 2: What’s next for Emily?
Emily is staying in Paris. It’s official. Netflix has renewed Emily in Paris for Season 2 and here’s what we know so far.
Emily will be staying in Paris for a little while longer. Netflix made the decision to renew Emily in Paris for a second season.
TVLine shared the exciting news about the renewal. Lily Collins is sticking around. After all, it wouldn’t be Emily in Paris otherwise, would it?
As well as the confirmation, creator Darren Starr went into a little of what fans could expect. Spoiler warning for those who haven’t watched the whole first season just yet.
The messy love triangle
As with so many dramas, a love triangle formed. Emily was, of course, part of that love triangle but she kept her distance for so long. It wasn’t until she thought things were definitely over between Gabriel and his girlfriend Cami that she decided to take her chance.
Well, things have become messed up again. The whole reason things ended between Gabriel and Cami was because he wanted to open his restaurant not in Paris. After being with Emily, he decided to remain in Paris after all.
Awkward!
The season ended with Cami asking Emily to talk. Does Cami know what Emily did? Does Cami want to get back with Gabriel, or will she give Emily her blessing? We’ll have to wait and see!
At least we will get to see with Emily in Paris Season 2 happening.
Looking at life differently
Something that is important is that the characters aren’t all American. Only Emily is. Life in France is different. There is a culture shock, even if you speak French well!
Cami and Gabriel aren’t going to act like the way you’d expect someone from New York to act. Their upbringings will change their personalities. That’s something the show will keep in mind as this drama unfolds.
The relationship between the three main characters will evolve. There’s no doubt about that. How will it happen?
