There’s some bad news for fans of Euphoria. We have a long wait ahead of us for Euphoria Season 3. Here’s what we know so far.

Euphoria was renewed for a third season back in February 2022. We’ve waited a long time to see it, and that wait has just gotten a little longer. HBO delivered some bad news about when some of its top dramas will return.

It turns out that we shouldn’t expect the Euphoria Season 3 to premiere until 2025. Yes, 2025! What’s going on with the series, and is this a sign that it really is coming to an end?

Why is Euphoria Season 3 pushed to 2025?

TVLine reported the bad news, sharing that the writers strike is the reason for it. And no, I’m not blaming the writers on this one. The studios could have easily put together a fair deal but put themselves (and us) into this situation.

There aren’t enough scripts to be able to start production on the series. House of the Dragon is filming despite the strike. All the scripts were written. Of course, there are questions about what happens when it comes to rewrites during production, but we’ll see what happens there.

Euphoria, among other HBO shows, won’t get that option. Production can’t even start, and so the series is going to be pushed back. It’s terrible news considering the second season ended in 2022.

This certainly suggests that the third season will be the last. Can a show survive three years without new episodes airing? It’s debateable with how much content there is now. We could see a pivot to end the series with Season 3. There was already talk of this potentially happening anyway.
