Evil officially given the go ahead for Season 2 by CBS
CBS are clearly impressed with freshman show Evil as the network has official announced that it will be renewing the psychological mystery for a second season.
We’re well into our new primetime TV schedule and networks are already starting to look at 2020/2021. FOX recently announced they were given Prodigal Son a full season order and other networks are expected to start making similar announcements when it comes to their freshmen shows.
CBS has started to make such announcements and the freshmen show to be given the approval for a new season is Evil. The official announcement was made via Deadline.
The psychological mystery that explores that fine line between religion and science as explores evil and its origins will be back next year.

So, it’s really not surprising CBS has decided to renew the show already. They have not confirmed if the show will return on the same day and time.

It is the only freshmen show to be given the renewal notice. Other shows such as All Rise, Carol’s Second Act, Bob “Heart” Abishola, and The Unicorn have not been renewed. Additional episodes have been ordered, but this does not mean that it will be given a second season order.
A decision about their second season will eventually be made. At the latest, this will be early next year.
