CBS has made some decisions about its shows. What about FBI: Most Wanted? Will there be a fifth season of the series?
We are at that time of year when the broadcast networks start to make their decisions about the future of shows. CBS renewed seven shows, but only three were scripted. You may have been disappointed to see that FBI: Most Wanted was not one of those on the list.
Don’t panic about the future of the series, though. We already got some excellent news about this one.
FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 is happening at CBS
Remember when we got news that there would be a fourth season? CBS also shared that the series would be renewed for a fifth season. Yes, it was a two-season renewal, just like the renewals of FBI, FBI: International, and The Equalizer.
What we don’t know yet is whether Tuesday nights are going to look the same. It makes sense to have a night of FBI dramas, but this later show is struggling in the time slot. It’s one of CBS’s lowest-ranking shows in terms of the demo, and this could lead to the show moving timeslots.
What we could see is that it keeps the timeslot in the fall but moves midseason. I only see that happening if CBS has another FBI spin-off.
We’ll get to know more in May, when CBS shares its fall schedule. This will also be when we get to see the pilots and look at whether CBS is going to put on a new show between FBI and another one of the spin-offs to give the new show a fighting chance.
