FOX fall 2020 schedule: The Masked Singer, animation and more

Fall TV is going to look a little different across all broadcast networks. FOX is the first network to share its plans. Here’s the FOX fall 2020 schedule.

While CBS was the first network to make a decision about the fates of all its shows, FOX is the first of the broadcast networks to unveil its fall schedule. The fall is going to look a little different to how we’re used to it due to TV shows not being able to film right now. Here’s a look at the FOX fall 2020 schedule.

If you’re a fan of 9-1-1 like us, there’s some bad news. The fourth season won’t premiere until 2021. It and 9-1-1: Lone Star have been pushed to give them time to film when the coronavirus pandemic quietens down. Hell’s Kitchen and The Great North are also being held, along with the second season of Duncanville (although that isn’t all too surprising).

We’re still waiting on news for a number of shows. The ResidentProdigal Son, and Last Man Standing are among the shows still with open fates. They weren’t announced with the FOX fall 2020 schedule. This is possibly due to filming not happening right now and the knowledge that they wouldn’t be fall shows. FOX did announce that Bob’s Burgers Season 11 is confirmed since it was part of the fall schedule announcement.

Sunday nights remain all about animation. The shows have been able to film during the pandemic since work can be done from home. That means all-new episodes can air. FOX has also pushed some of the spring and summer 2020 shows to fall 2020. That makes sense since the episodes are ready and it means some new drama shows. L.A.’s Finest is also coming to FOX despite already airing on Spectrum.

The Masked Singer, which was recently renewed for Season 4, will also return in the fall. How will it look? Possibly a little like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire on ABC.

Like fall 2019, Thursdays to Saturdays are all about sports. This is assuming the sports will return.
