Gen V is The Boys spin-off we’re all ready for. Just how long will we need to wait for the new series? It’s coming in 2023.
When a network gets a big show, it’s not surprising that spin-offs happen. The Boys is one of the biggest releases for Prime Video, and it wasn’t surprising to hear that there were a couple of spin-offs planned. The first to arrive was Diabolical, the animated anthology series. It’s almost time for the second spin-off, Gen V.
The new series will follow Supes at college. Yes, it sounds as crazy and diabolical as it will probably end up being. The title of the show suggests just how amusing it’s going to be, with us opting for a take on the “Gen Z” name for the generation at college right now.
We have a small teaser for the series so far, offering a sneak peek of what to expect. It also gives us a look at when we can expect the show.
When is Gen V coming to Prime Video?
We don’t have an exact date just yet. What we do know is that Gen V will arrive on Prime Video at some point in 2023. Yes, that’s this year.
It’s not surprising we’re getting it this year. The show has been in production throughout 2022. We’re also expecting The Boys Season 4 sometime at the end of this year at the earliest, but we may need to wait until early 2024. It makes sense to bring a spin-off in between the seasons of the OG series, as it helps to break up that wait.
We don’t have a season for the release just yet, either. This isn’t like Invincible, which is coming sometime in late 2023. It does suggest that we could see the college-based spin-off series at some point in the summer. After all, the last time The Boys only gave us a year, it came out in the summer/early September.
