Gentleman Jack Season 2 release date: When will the show be back?
Anne and Ann will be back, but when? Has a Gentleman Jack Season 2 release date been set yet? Let’s dive in and take a look.
It didn’t take the BBC long to decide Gentleman Jack would be coming back for a season 2. A decision that was not all that surprising considering the period drama was the most successful debut series of 2019 in the UK, and its popularity only increased when it came across the pond via HBO.
The good news is work has begun on the second season, the bad news is we don’t have a Gentleman Jack Season 2 release date. At least not yet anyway.
Like most TV show and movie productions this year, Gentleman Jack had to postpone production due to COVID-19. Because off this, it is unlikely we will see Season 2 premiere this year.
Odds are the second season will premiere in the summer of 2021. Everything is up in the air though and at a moments notice everything could change so watch this space carefully.
Season 2 of the series based on the collected diaries of Anne Lister is likely to pick up exactly where we left things in the Season 1 finale. Sally Wainwright, who wrote the series, explained to Digital Spy how, following the couples marriage in the Season 1 finale, they will now focus on Anne and Ann’s life as a newly married couple.
Muddling through the murky depths of those who will judge them, we can probably expect a lot of highs and lows in the upcoming season. A season Wainwright said will be telling the bigger and bolder stories of Anne Lister and Ann Walker.
Hopefully, it will not be long until we hear the announcement that a Gentleman Jack Season 2 release date has been set. With many TV show and movie productions starting up again, it should, with a touch of luck, be on the horizon.
