When will Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 premiere on ABC?
Our eyes are certainly on when our favorite TV shows will return. When can we expect Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 to premiere?
ABC opted to keep its fall schedule as normal. That has had to change slightly, but Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 remains on the fall schedule. So, when can we expect it to premiere?
There isn’t a set date for the return just yet. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t project a potential date. After all, unlike NBC, which pushed back the return of a few shows, ABC has maintained that Grey’s Anatomy will return in the fall.
We’re probably looking at late fall. While there are some hopes for a late October start, we’re likely looking at a November premiere.
Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 has started filming
The great news is filming the 17th season has begun. Ellen Pompeo shared an on-set photo with co-star Richard Flood. Both are wearing masks and not the surgical masks we’re used to seeing when the characters are in the OR. These masks are all part of the new safety protocols in place while working on TV shows.
With filming starting now, we could see an October start date, but it will depend on how long it takes to complete one episode. Many TV shows take eight days or so to complete one episode under usual circumstances. Things could take longer due to safety protocols, but that is just speculation.
November 2020 is still a better guide for the show to return. Anything earlier is a bonus.
What can we expect in the new season? There will be a coronavirus storyline. The show will offer us a look at what the world has been like in hospitals during this time.
