ABC is making decisions about its shows, and Grey’s Anatomy is on the list. Is Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 going to happen?

All eyes are on our favorite shows. There’s no doubt that Grey’s Anatomy is one of them, and I have to say that this season has breathed some new life into it. I love the new interns, and I adore that we’re getting back to more patient storylines instead of it just being about who is dating who in the hospital.

Regardless of that, we needed to see if the network would agree. After all, there are some big changes. Ellen Pompeo has stepped back and Krista Vernoff is leaving as showrunner. Would this mean the series would be canceled? Hasn’t it always been the idea that once Ellen left, the show would be done?

Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 is officially happening

There’s great news for fans of the series. There will be another season. ABC has confirmed Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 will be part of the 2023–2024 season.

Of course, ABC hasn’t shared when it will air just yet. That’s not surprising with May Upfronts just around the corner. That’s when the schedule will be announced.

We’ll likely see it remain on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. We’re sure to see Station 19 renewed too to continue the start of the TGIT lineup as it is now.
