Hanna Season 3 is officially renewed: What can we expect?

Amazon has given us some excellent news. Hanna Season 3 is officially happening, but what can we expect in the third season?

You asked and you’ve now received. After just 10 days since the second season dropped, Hanna Season 3 has been confirmed. Amazon renewed the series, although didn’t share too many details of what to expect.

In a way, the renewal isn’t surprising. Hanna Season 2 was one of the most highly anticipated shows of 2020. It was definitely one of the most highly anticipated of July 2020. However, with streaming services’ track records for canceling shows after two seasons, we did worry a little.

Deadline shared the great news, though.

How many episodes will Season 3 have?

We don’t have details about episode count for Hanna Season 3, but we can make an educated guess. since the first two seasons had eight episodes each, it would seem likely that Season 3 will have the same. There’s no need to fix a system that isn’t broken.

Eight episodes has worked out well for the storytelling. It’s allowed us time to get to know characters and the situations, see what seems to be a blip in the plan, only for things to fall back in place for the final episodes.

Who will return for Hanna Season 3?

Like the episode count, we don’t have an official list of actors returning to the show. We can assume that Esmé Creed-Miles and Mireille Enos will return. There’s no way there’s a series without Hanna and Marissa. The second season ended with them teaming up to help take down Utrax and turn it into something good.

We can also assume that Dermot Mulroney, Áine Rose Daly, and Gianna Kiehl will return. John Carmichael, Sandy, and Jules were excellent adversaries, giving us an insight into the world of Utrax and the training the girls received. There’s much more to this, especially with the set-up at the end of the second season.

The only character we’ll question returning is Clara, played by Yasmin Monet Prince. The last we saw of her, she headed for Morocco to find her birth mom. It looked like it could be a happy ending, especially since Terri, played by Cherrelle Skeete, deleted the one piece of evidence that Utrax could have used to find Clara. Will Clara remain with her mom or will she feel the need to find Hanna again?

David Farr will be back as writer and EP. He’s also the creator of the show, so it isn’t surprising to hear he’s back.
