HBO renews Westworld for a fourth season: What we know so far
Loving Westworld Season 3 so far? There’s some excellent news about the future of the show. HBO has renewed it for Season 4.
Whether you love or hate Westworld Season 3, there’s some exciting news for the future for the cast and crew. HBO has opted to renew Westworld for a fourth season.
The news will certainly come as a surprise to some. After all, the live ratings have fallen over recent episodes. And yet, HBO is confident in the future of this season. It looks like the five+ season plan that the show had, in the beginning, could play out. In fact, it looks like HBO wants it to play out.
Casey Bloys, president of HBO Programming, announced the renewal and a press release was quickly sent out on April 22. Bloys noted that the network has enjoyed the twists and turns of the third season, and can’t wait to see what showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have next. This is despite the two signing an overall deal with Amazon Prime recently. Of course, the overall deal wouldn’t affect anything currently in the works prior to the deal.
That’s all we know so far. HBO has been quiet on the number of episodes to the season. Westworld Season 4 will likely have eight episodes like its third season. And we’ll likely see the two year gap between seasons, which has become standard for this HBO show.
