We know House of the Dragon Season 2 won’t arrive in 2022. What about next year? Is there a chance it will arrive in 2023?

Eyes are on the Dance of Dragons. It has started, but we’re not going to see it for some time. It’s not surprising that the second season won’t arrive this year, but is there a chance we’ll get to see it in 2023?

It’s not all that common for the networks to announce premiere dates so early. Unsurprisingly, HBO is staying quiet on an exact date, but HBO exec Casey Bloys has given us a rough time frame, and it’s not great news.

House of the Dragon Season 2 isn’t coming in 2023

It’s unlikely that we’ll get to see the new season in 2023. Bloys shared that it’s more likely we’ll see the series in 2024, but that 2023 isn’t completely ruled out. This is going to depend on the development process. He doesn’t want to set a date and then have to push it back.

Game of Thrones* fans know what it’s like to get a date and have it pushed back. How often has George R.R. Martin said he’d be done with The Winds of Winter only to miss that year after year?

Bloys shares with Vulture that there are a lot of unknowns right now. Of course, this doesn’t mean we can’t have something in the world of Game of Thrones next year. There are other projects within the universe in development. How about that Jon Snow series?
