Fire Country has officially landed a full season order. This is great news for the series, but how many episodes will we now get in the season?

Deadline brought us some exciting news. Fire Country, along with East New York and So Help Me Todd, has landed a full-season order. This is standard for freshman shows that are performing well.

The networks usually order around 13 episodes, although if the show isn’t performing well after five or so, there is the option to remove it from the schedule. If the show performs well in the ratings, the networks have the option to extend the first seasons. This is a good sign that the show is going to be renewed for a second season.

How many episodes are in Fire Country Season 1

While CBS has announced the series has landed a full season, we don’t get to know just how many episodes there will be. However, we can look at other Friday night shows to get an idea. We’re sure to see all Friday night dramas get around the same amount of seasons—that is if Max Thieriot’s schedule allows.

SWAT and Blue Bloods are expected to have normal seasons of around 22 episodes. There doesn’t seem to be much of a reason to shorten them at this point. That would suggest Fire Country is getting 22 episodes.

Of course, this could depend on SEAL Team’s fate. There’s a good chance that series will be renewed, and Thieriot may need to keep pulling double duty. This could affect the length of time he can film the broadcast series. Filming for that can go into March or April, and then he could need to film SEAL Team in May if it follows Season 6’s schedule. There wouldn’t be much of a break for Theiriot, which could mean a reduced season order for Fire Country compared to other shows.

This could also be something everyone is willing to play by ear since SEAL Team hasn’t been renewed yet. There’s no point in worry about schedules until they become a big problem.
