All eyes are one some of the current Hulu dramas and comedies after the announcement that Harlots and Reprisal won’t be back for more.

There are still many Hulu shows that remain with unknown futures. The biggest of those is Ramy, which debuted its second season at the end of May 2020. However, Hulu is currently make decisions on older shows, with Harlots and Reprisal being the latest.

Neither of the shows will return. Harlots Season 3 finished nine months ago, according to TVLine, but won’t be getting a fourth season. Meanwhile, it almost sounds like Reprisal worked as a limited series and won’t return for a second season.

While sad, the longer we go on without word about some of our favorite shows, we start to think that no news isn’t good news. There’s a sense that the shows are being quietly canceled. Now eyes are on current favorites.

It’s always hard to say which direction Hulu will move in. We don’t get to know the viewing figures of Hulu shows, so we have to judge by the social media attention a series gets.

Will Ramy be renewed for a third season?

Our main focus right now is on Ramy. The second season of the dramedy dropped on Hulu at the end of May 2020. While not as good as the first season, it is still an excellent series that everyone needs to check out.

The show focuses on everyday Muslim-Americans, depicting them in a fair and honest light. It’s time to move over with the stereotypes and focus on raw, real looks like Muslims living in the United States.

One of the beauties of the show is that this is for everyone. It’s not just something for Muslims to see themselves in, but a look at one man searching to be a better version of himself. He goes on a journey of self-discovery as well as one that involves learning more about his faith. He wants to be the best Muslim he can be, but realizes there are contradictions in the world.

There’s also an honest depiction of an older closeted gay man, disabilities, other cultural contradictions, and more. If you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend it right now.
