Our eyes are on the future of all our favorite TV shows. A Million Little Things is one of them. Will Season 5 happen at ABC?
If there’s one type of show we all tend to love, it’s the feel-good family shows. Family doesn’t have to mean the husband and wife with 2.4 children anymore. There are different types of families, and sometimes, friendship groups become family. That’s certainly the case on A Million Little Things.
Now our eyes are on the future of the series. We’re just six episodes in, but we want to know if Season 5 is going to happen. While ABC hasn’t made a decision yet, we can look at the live ratings from the last six episodes to get an idea.
A Million Little Things Season 5 is not likely happening at ABC
There is some bad news when it comes to this series. We don’t think the fifth season is going to happen.
The live TV ratings haven’t been all that strong, routinely below the marks set by both Chicago PD and CSI: Vegas. Granted, Wednesday nights are difficult and competitive, but ABC isn’t going to fully accept that. The show stands a chance if the streaming numbers the day after are good, but the live ratings aren’t enough to keep it on the air.
The show sits in last place out of all the scripted shows on the network in the demo. It’s 10th out of 11 shows when looking at the average audience numbers.
On top of that, the show has dropped by 36% in the average demo and 29% in the average audience compared to the previous season. While a lot of shows have dropped this season, these large drops are worrying.
