Maid tells the tale of a woman escaping domestic abuse with her daughter and finding a way to survive. It was an excellent tale, but the ending leaves us wondering about what’s next. Will Maid Season 2 happen?

If you haven’t watched Maid on Netflix yet, you need to get right on it. This is a series that gives you all the feelings. There are some hilarious moments, but there are also some heartbreaking moments. You’ll find yourself wondering how our main character, Alex, will be able to support her daughter and survive the cruel hand the world dealt her.

There are also times of anger and annoyance. You wonder how some of the characters can be the way they are, and how Alex can make some of the decisions she does.

However, in the end, it’s a very raw and real story. Those who have been through domestic abuse, whether emotional or physical, will see moments of their own lives in the story. And all it takes is one person to help get you back on your feet.

Maid Season 2 isn’t going to happen

I never say “never,” but it’s unlikely that Maid Season 2 is going to happen at Netflix. This isn’t because Netflix has canceled it and shows no support for it.

The series was billed as a limited series when it first arrived on Netflix. Yes, we have seen limited series picked up for future seasons in the past. Big Little Lies and The Great are just two that come to mind. In fact, recently Good Omens was also picked up for a second season.

However, it’s unlikely that this series will get picked up for a second season. Netflix doesn’t tend to renew its limited series. Just look at I-Land and all the Harlan Coben adaptations.

We also don’t really need the next part of Alex and Maddy’s story, do we? There’s an ending that brings us closure. We can believe that her hardest days are behind her, especially with her ex relinquishing his rights to Maddy. Alex is able to follow her passion and her dreams, giving Maddy the life she deserves.
