Is The Equalizer canceled? (Has the show been renewed for Season 3?)
The Equalizer is one of the best Sunday shows right now. In fact, it’s one of the best shows overall. Will Season 3 happen at CBS?
We are certainly ready to see more of Queen Latifah on our screens. Right now, we get our weekly dose with The Equalizer, but there are some questions about the future of the series. Will we get to see more of this outstanding series?
CBS has started to make decisions about its shows. The Queen Latifah starter is one of them. Is The Equalizer canceled or renewed for Season 3?
The Equalizer Season 3 is happening at CBS
We got some excellent news last week. The Equalizer has been renewed for a third season. In fact, CBS is so confident in the series that it’s been renewed for Season 4, too. That means we’re getting this show until 2024 at the very least. If the show continues to be as popular as it is, it will likely go on longer.
The two-season renewal isn’t all that surprising when you look at the live TV ratings. According to TV Series Finale, this series is the top Sunday scripted show on broadcast. It’s also one of the top scripted shows (in fact, one of the top shows overall) on CBS. It would have been crazy for CBS to cancel it unless Queen Latifah was done.
It doesn’t look like Queen Latifah is done!
The third season is likely to premiere in fall 2022. We’re looking at it keeping its Sunday night spot with new episodes premiering in either late September or early October this year. Season 4 will then likely premiere in fall 2023.
