Prime Video has not disappointed with bringing us the start of summer. The Lake is one of the new additions this weekend, and it brings us a story of summer antics. Now you’ll want to know if The Lake Season 2 will happen.

The Lake starts off as a series about Justin, who reconnects with his birth daughter who he gave up for adoption when he was a teenager. After that, he came out as gay and was pushed out of his family. To reconnect, he decides to take his daughter to his father’s lakeside cabin, which is when he learns his dad left the cabin to his step-sister.

And so starts a summer of plans and fun. Oh, and yes, there are some pranks thrown in there. With the way things ended, you’ll want to see what’s to come next. Will The Lake Season 2 happen at Prime Video?

Is The Lake Season 2 coming to Prime Video?

As of right now, Amazon hasn’t cancelled or renewed The Lake for Season 2. That’s not surprising. The streamer has held off on renewing a few shows recently. Only those that have immediately performed well, such as The Boys and The Summer I Turned Pretty have gained early renewals. It took two months for Upload Season 3 to be confirmed.

We’ll hopefully get some answers at the end of August 2022. This should mean we get the second season in summer 2023.

With The Lake dropping the same weekend as The Summer I Turned Pretty, it could be a while before we get a renewal. Prime Video needs to encourage people to turn to the other new series.
