There are a few Prime Video shows we’re keeping a close eye on. Upload is one of them. Is Upload canceled or renewed for Season 3?

It is very hard to make a call on Prime Video shows. In fact, it’s hard to make a call on any shows available on streaming platforms. We don’t get to see the full figures when it comes to ratings. Without that, we can’t see whether a series is worth investing further in or not—from a business point of view, that is.

Prime Video doesn’t seem to have a set timeframe for renewing shows. Sometimes we get renewals ahead of time, and then other times, we’ll have to wait months for decisions. So, what’s going on with Upload Season 3?

Is Upload canceled?

There was some great news on May 11. Prime Video has renewed Upload for a third season.

This wasn’t too surprising. Greg Daniels had previous said that the writing work had already started. This was without any word on whether a third season would happen or not, but he was confident it would. It would have also made pitching the new season much easier.

The series is one of the best comedies on the streamer. In fact, it’s one of the best comedies available as a whole. It steps away from the single-camera focus that broadcast networks still seem to want to keep, and focuses on telling the story without forced laughs. Even without the extra technology in the story, the show is for the modern age.

There is no word on when Upload Season 3 will happen. We’re looking at sometime in 2023 at the earliest.
