We’ll get to see a little more Jackson Avery on our screens. Jesse Williams is returning in Grey’s Anatomy Season 19, and here’s when that will take place.

Jackson Avery may have left Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital to run the Catherine Fox Foundation, but that doesn’t mean we don’t get to see him now and then. He returned in the Grey’s Anatomy Seasonno18 finale, and now we’ll get to see him again.

Deadline has confirmed that Jackson will be back. Jesse Williams will return to guest star and direct an episode of Grey’s Anatomy Season 19.

When is Jesse Williams in Grey’s Anatomy Season 19?

Of course, fans want to know exactly when he’s going to make his return. There isn’t long to wait now. He will be back for the fifth hour of the season. That episode will air on Thursday, Nov. 3.

The episode will see Meredith head to Boston. It’s not clear exactly why she’s going there, but it does mean she’ll run into Jackson at some point. This isn’t too surprising since Jackson runs the hospital and Meredith is acting chief right now.

We do know Ellen Pompeo is leaving Grey’s Anatomy* after the seventh episode and will then return for the Season 19 finale. This episode Jackson is in could set up that exit. Is she heading to Boston to hand in her notice in person?

We’ll also get to see Catherine Fox back. However, Sarah Drew is not returning as April in Grey’s Anatomy Season 19.
