Maeve and Janae get together in One of Us Is Lying Season 2. Are they still together by the end of the season?

There were a lot of couples to root for in One of Us Is Lying* Season 2. One of them was Janae and Maeve. After Janae initially tried to push Bronwyn’s little sister away from her, the two ended up admitting that they wanted to be together.

We got an excellent queer relationship. Janae may look like she should be confident, but she isn’t. Throughout the second season, she’s figuring out who she is, and there’s the perfect moment where she explains to Maeve that she’s still a virgin and she’s not sure she wants to go past their current stage sexually just yet. Maeve is so responsive and accepting of that, and I love it.

Do Janae and Maeve stay together in One of Us Is Lying Season 2?

If only things could remain positive for the two of them. By the end of the season, they’d broken up. It comes down to a matter of trust.

While on the boat, Addy learns that Maeve is working with Fiona, who turns out to be Simon Says. It turns out that Maeve played Fiona, but the damage is done at this point. The trust is broken. Maeve could have mentioned to someone that she was going to play Fiona at her own game, but didn’t. Nobody can trust her anymore, including Janae.

By the end of One of Us Is Lying Season 2, Janae and Maeve aren’t speaking to each other. Janae explains that she doesn’t really know what to think or feel right now. She just can’t be with someone she can’t trust, and I totally get that.
