What happened to Chloe on Lucifer Season 5, Part 2?

Chloe started Lucifer Season 5, Part 2 wondering whether Lucifer loved her, but what happened to her in the end? Will she still be around in Season 6?

We left Chloe at the end of Lucifer Season 5, Part 1 frozen after asking if Lucifer loved her. He couldn’t say the three words because they would be a lie. Lucifer wasn’t sure he could love, but Chloe refused to accept that. And so, their relationship continued and Chloe stood by his side.

When it came to Lucifer taking over as the new God, Chloe quit her job as a detective to follow him. She would stand by his side, including when it came to him fighting his siblings to claim the position of new God. There was no way she would allow Michael to take that position after everything Michael did.

Would she help Lucifer succeed? What would happen to Chloe at the end of Lucifer Season 5, Part 2?

Did Chloe live or die on Lucifer Season 5, Part 2?

Michael and Lucifer fought, just as Lucifer planned. He managed to get Amenadial’s necklace, the part of the flaming sword, from Michael and Chloe took it. However, she wouldn’t get away fully. Michael stabbed her in the stomach and killed her.

Lucifer wasn’t about to let that happen. As Chloe let go of her guilt over Dan, she was able to head to Heaven. That meant a death sentence for Lucifer, but he chose to take it. He loved Chloe.

When he got to Heaven, he didn’t immediately burn up. Lilith’s immortality ring saved him, but it wouldn’t be enough to get both of them back to Earth. So, he gave Chloe the ring so she could go back to her body and be with Trixie and the others.

That wasn’t the end for Lucifer, though. He managed to come back. He became worthy of being the new God through his sacrifice and his siblings knelt before him.
