Did Maze get a soul on Lucifer Season 5, Part 2?
At the end of Lucifer Season 5, Part 1, Maze realized she wanted a soul. Did she manage to get one during the second half of the season?
Maze has had a lot of development over the years of the series. Throughout Lucifer Season 5, she got to meet her mom, Lilith, and realized that she wanted a soul. The problem is demons couldn’t get souls. At least, that’s the way it had always been told.
Michael suggested that there was a way for demons to get souls. She just needed to ask God, which is what she did at the start of Lucifer Season 5, Part 2. We even got to see her demon face as she got angry when God said he couldn’t give her a soul.
Did God make demons wrong? That was something Maze thought, but the journey for the soul wasn’t over.
Did God give Maze a soul on Lucifer Season 5, Part 2?
When she found out God wouldn’t give her a soul, Maze decided to kill God. She couldn’t do it, though. And it’s not like God didn’t know she was after him. He knows everything, remember!
God thanked her for not killing him. That was when he shared something.
While he couldn’t give Maze a soul, that didn’t mean Maze couldn’t grow a soul. It turned out that all the good she’d done while on Earth helped her develop a soul. It’s been there this whole time. Everything Maze had been feeling was the soul being given.
This is great for Maze, but she realizes something new. If she dies, she’ll go to Hell, and she knows what her hell loop is going to be. She can’t go through with that, so she goes on a new journey. She wants to become the Queen of Hell when Lucifer becomes the new God.
That is if the new God is Lucifer. Would he end up taking over the Silver City? We’ll leave that part as a spoiler for those who haven’t caught up with the end of Season 5, Part 2 yet.
