It’s the time of year when we get to find out what the networks are doing about their shows. All five broadcast networks have made some surprising decisions. CBS certainly shocked us with the decision around Magnum PI.

Is Magnum PI canceled?
There is some disappointing news for all Magnum PI fans. TVLine reported the shocking news that CBS had canceled the series after four seasons. Considering star Jay Hernandez was so certain it would be renewed, this decision certainly surprised all.
The decision is likely due to the ratings. They weren’t the strongest, but they also weren’t the worst. In fact, there were other shows that ranked lower in the scripted drama capacity and were renewed. Year, we’re looking at CSI: Vegas.
CBS has since released its fall schedule. A new series is taking over the Friday night timeslot, with SWAT moving back to Fridays where it belongs. The new series Fire Country, starring SEAL Team‘s Max Thieriot will air on Fridays between SWAT and Blue Bloods.
