We know Nancy Drew Season 4 is happening. The CW has made a decision on the future of the series after this.

The CW pleasantly surprised us with great news in early 2022. Nancy Drew was renewed for a fourth season. It came off the back of a cliffhanger ending, so we were certainly happy to hear this. This came despite the live ratings being on the low side.

Of course, it wasn’t surprising to see The CW renew shows with low live ratings. We have been used to the network renewing shows due to the way the shows perform on streaming platforms. We were also used to shows getting final season orders. That was until last year. The CW shocked everyone with multiple cancellations and shows not getting the chance to say goodbye.

With Nancy Drew being renewed, we were concerned what this meant about the series. Well, The CW has made the decision, and now the writers will need to get to work.

Nancy Drew Season 4 is going to be the last

TVLine reports that the fourth season is going to be the last. The news broke after the writers took to Twitter to share the disappointing decision. The good thing about getting a final season order, though, is that the writers have time to craft an actual ending.

We are still waiting for a premiere date. We also don’t have an episode count or a finale date. All we know is that production is underway and that we’re expecting the final season some time next year. The writers have helped to ease some of the disappointment to tell us that we’ll get a worthy payoff for our patience and commitment to the show.
