NBC fall 2020 schedule: Similar to what you’re used to
Like CBS, the NBC fall 2020 schedule is similar to what we’re used to. It’s made up of established TV shows that usually appear in the fall.
Whether you’re used to One Chicago Wednesdays or you just love ending the week with The Blacklist and Dateline, there’s some excellent news for fans of the usual fall lineup. The NBC fall 2020 schedule is out, and there’s not much different to what we usually get.
Like CBS, NBC is being optimistic with the schedule. This could be a positive thing for the shows. After all, there’s going to be less competition on the air, although CBS is arguably the biggest competition for the Peacock network.
The NBC fall 2020 schedule is definitely optimistic, though. This is a network with a lot of shows filming in areas that aren’t opening up yet. In fact, Chicago and New York look to be the last areas in the U.S. to open, which could mean many nights can’t work as hoped.
Manifest: The Complete First Season (DVD)
Manifest back to fall, Law & Order Thursdays
There are a few small changes to the NBC fall 2020 schedule that are worth noting. The first is the addition of Manifest Season 3 back in the fall lineup. The show had moved to the midseason to allow for a run without breaks, which suits this style of shows. However, it became a strong ratings performer, so it makes sense that NBC would want to put it back in the fall.
Then there are Thursday nights, which will move to two comedies and then two dramas. This isn’t all too surprising considering how the network has struggled with comedies in recent years. The move to two dramas could help to pick up the ratings, especially with it being two hours of Law & Order.
SVU will take up the 9 p.m. timeslot and then will lead into new spinoff Law & Order: Organized Crime starring Chris Meloni.
The rest of the lineup is as you’d expect.
