Netflix sets Peaky Blinds Season 6 release date

Peaky Blinders Season 6 has arrived in the UK, and we’ve been waiting patiently for it to arrive in the U.S. Netflix has now set the date.

When the UK got a release date for Peaky Blinders Season 6, we were excited. Would that mean we’d get to see just how the series would end at the start of 2022?

Netflix has set the date, but it’s not anytime soon. It’s not really clear why we’re waiting so long, but the final season will drop as a binge-watch in the summer. It’s likely linked to contracts with the show’s UK network, BBC.

Peaky Blinders Season 6 is coming in June 2022

Netflix has decided to bring all six episodes of the final season on Friday, June 10. TVLine confirmed the release date, along with the fact that it is a binge-watch like is normal with Netflix. It doesn’t look like this streaming platform is going to look at weekly releases like what Prime Video is testing out.

The final season will see the inclusion of writing out Helen McCrory’s character. Fans will remember the actress died of cancer in April 2021. It was devastating news, especially as she battled cancer out of the eyes of the world so it all came as a shock.

In a non-COVID world, filming would have taken place earlier than it did. That would have allowed for Aunt Polly to be part of the season. However, the late filming meant that Polly had to be written out, and that is explained in the first episode. Keep an ear out for the devastating exit.

There are only six episodes to tell the end of the story about the Birmingham gang. They’re worth the wait so far!
