How many episodes are in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin?
There’s another Pretty Little Liars spin-off on the way. Just how many episodes will be in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin?
One of the big problems with Pretty Little Liars* was the episode count. There were so many episodes to fill, especially as the show was routinely renewed when really it should have ended after five seasons at the most. It led to a lot of red herrings thrown in, and then we got that crazy twin storyline that made the entire series feel more like a soap opera than a thrilling drama.
Now it’s time for a spin-off. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin isn’t a direct spin-off and doesn’t state it will include any of the original characters, but it is set in the same universe.
Will it have the same problem of too many episodes? Will there be a need to give us too many red herrings? Here’s a look at how many episodes are in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin episode count
TVLine makes it clear that there are 10 episodes in the first season. We also know that the show is going to be released in a hybrid method.
The first three episodes will drop on Thursday, July 28. For the two Thursdays after that, we’ll see two episodes per week. After that, we’ll get the final three episodes.
This is certainly an intriguing way of doing things. This is the type of series that would benefit from a weekly release model. It keeps people talking about the cliffhangers at the end of the episodes. The hybrid model helps to keep those who prefer a binge-watch model engaged.
