Primetime fall 2019 schedule and premiere dates: All you need to know

The Big 5 networks have set their fall 2019 schedules and premiere dates. Get your diaries in order in time for your favorite shows to return.

Before you know it, fall TV ill be here. The Big 5 primetime networks have set their fall 2019 schedule and premiere dates. It’s time to get everything in order so you don’t miss a beat of your favorite shows.

For the most part, the return dates are as many would expect. ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC will premiere the majority of their shows in the last week of September. There are a handful of TV shows not returning until the first week of October, following a pattern set last year.

The CW will premiere the majority of its shows during the second week of October. There is just the odd one or two being held off for a little later in the month, likely due to the number of episodes to time the season finales properly.

We’ll try to keep this as simple as possible. It’s all in network order alphabetically and in return date order from there. This includes shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, A Million Little Things, NCIS, The Resident, the One Chicago franchise, and Arrowverse and much more.

What's on TV tonight, January 17?
GREY’S ANATOMY – “Shelter from the Storm” – The windstorm continues to blow through Seattle; and after the power goes out at Grey Sloan, the doctors are left scrambling to save their patients’ lives, including Meredith who desperately needs to get to Cece for her heart transplant. Meanwhile, Owen, Amelia and Teddy confront their complicated situation, on the midseason return of “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, JAN. 17 (8:00-9:01 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network.
