Prodigal Son Season 2: Tom Payne hints at Endicott murder cover up
While discussing what comes next in Prodigal Son Season 2, Tom Payne hinted at how Ainsley murdering Nicholas Endicott is to be covered up and kept a closely guarded secret.
There was a lot of surprises during the season finale of Prodigal Son. Of course, the biggest one of all was the murder of Nicholas Endicott at the hands of the one and only Ainsley Whitly.
Prodigal Son Season 2 will hopefully begin filming in a couple of months, which is great news for fans because we’re all wondering what is next for the Whitly family now that Ainsley has pretty much become her father.
Tom Payne, who portrays Malcolm Bright in the FOX mystery crime drama, spoke to TV Insider about his involvement in the series and even gave fans a hint of what might come next in Season 2.
According to Payne, very few people know what happened with Endicott on that fateful night and it is a secret that has to be safely guarded.
“….of course, there’s only a few people—three—that know exactly what happened….”
“That’s a whole big secret to keep as well.”

Of course, no secret is ever truly safe. Someone is bound to let something slip. That, or someone is bound to figure things out.
The question really is how long it will be until the secret begins to unravel and what happens next when it does.
Prodigal Son has always been on the rather unpredictable side of things, which is why we enjoy the TV show so much. So expect something twisted and dark to emerge once Ainsley comes under the spotlight for what she did to Nicholas Endicott.
