There is of course plenty of uncertainty at the moment with what the future holds. Prodigal Son is filmed in New York City which has been a hot spot for the Coronavirus so things could easily change at a moments notice.
Safety is the teams’ number 1 concern. Sheen made this very clear during his interview with This Morning. So when filming gets underway it will be in a safe environment for everyone.
It will be interesting if filming begins in October when the second season will premiere. It has been slated for the FOX 2020-21 schedule, but with networks pushing back their schedules to the beginning of 2021 due to the pandemic, we could be looking at a January 2021 release date.
