Will Ray lose hope on SEAL Team?
Ray is trying to keep hold of his hope of being saved on SEAL Team. When he learns where he is, will he lose that bit he’s holding onto?
Ray doesn’t have much hope left when it comes to being saved on SEAL Team. There is still a little though. He knows Bravo Team won’t stop searching for him.
However, we’ve learned that it’s going to be extremely difficult for Ray to get away from his captors. The ending to SEAL Team Season 4, Episode 5 made that extremely clear.
When Ray figures out where he is, will he lose that last bit of hope he’s holding onto? What will that mean for him when the series return?
We’re getting into the major SEAL Team spoilers now, by the way. If you haven’t watched Episode 5 yet, make sure you check it out on CBS All Access ($).
Let’s dive straight in.
Ray will find out where he is on SEAL Team Season 4, Episode 6
I’m calling it now: Ray will find out that he’s on a boat in the middle of the ocean. He has no idea which ocean or where abouts he is. Nor does he have any idea how long he’s been sailing for. All he will find out is that he’s on a boat and there’s no escape.
That also means it’s going to be near impossible for Bravo Team to figure out where he is.
He’ll know that. If he was underground somewhere, there would be a chance that someone could find him. On a boat, in the middle of nowhere? Well, that’s like looking for a needle in a haystack of other needles.
The promo for the episode (airing on Jan. 27) makes it clear that Ray seems to be losing all hope. He’s leaving a goodbye message in the promo, suggesting that he’s figured out that there is no way for anyone to get to him. It also suggests that he’s managed to escape where he was being held to be able to get the camera filming the executions.
Bravo Team will save him at the last minute
I don’t believe the show is going to write out Ray. The character I’m most concerned about right now is Blackburn considering Judd Lormand is no longer a series regular. Neil Brown Jr. remains a series regular for SEAL Team Season 4.
Of course, that could change partway through the series. This could be one of those shocking exits that we never saw coming; that we had no warning for.
I just can’t believe that it is. Ray has just become a warrant office. He made it through his downward spiral in Season 3 and his family has remained supportive.
He needs to get out of this alive.
So, my call is that Bravo Team will figure out where he is. And they’re going to save him at the very last minute just like they did in the desert.
