During the previous episode, Mel missed a connection to the balloons. What’s happened to her? It’s time to find out on Snowpiercer Season 2, Episode 6.

Jennifer Connelly hasn’t been involved in the last two episodes. After jumping off the train to head to the research station, we’ve been left wondering what’s going on. During Episode 4, we did get confirmation she made it to the station when she connected to the balloon.

Unfortunately, she missed an uplink during the fifth episode. Of course, it’s possible that somewhere down the line the technology isn’t working and Mel didn’t miss the uplink. But there’s also a chance that something’s happened to her.

As Snowpiercer heads back to get Mel, it’s time to find out what’s going on. Episode 6 will take us back to when Mel jumped off the train, hopefully up to the present day.

What happened to Mel on Snowpiercer?

The promo gives us a hint of what’s happened. Mel is struggling to survive. While she’s under shelter, she’s stuck in isolation. We all know what that’s like right now, some more than others. Mel is going to go through a lot of what many humans have experienced recently.

This episode is a chance for her to remininsce about the time before the Freeze. She’s likely thinking about what could happen if the Earth can be recolonized.

But she needs to remain focused. The only way to recolonize the Earth is by getting a connection to those uplinks. Why has Mel missed one and what does it mean for the data? Is there going to be any data to collect at all? Is Mel even still alive?
