ABC has made an early decision about the Grey’s Anatomy firefighter spin-off series. Station 19 Season 7 is officially the last.
We’re going to be saying goodbye to the firefighters and paramedics of Station 19* in 2024. ABC has made an early decision about the future of the show, making sure the writers have time to craft a worthy ending.
The news is surprising. Season 6 may have ranked only fifth out of all shows in the total audience, but it was joint second with The Rookie in the demo, just behind Grey’s Anatomy, according to TVLine. However, ABC is looking at cost-cutting measures, and the show won’t be a cheap one to produce with it being in the world of Shondaland with a large ensemble cast.
When will Station 19 Season 7 premiere on ABC?
ABC has set the premiere dates for the returning shows. While the majority will be back in February 2023, TGIT is being held until March. It looks like we’ll get a 10-episode season with that in mind, especially since ABC will want to wrap shows up in May 2024 for the season to get things back on track next season.
Station 19 Season 7 will premiere on Thursday, March 14. It’s no longer going to be the lead-in of the night, though. It’s going to close out TGIT instead. 911, which is moving from FOX to ABC for Season 7, is going to take over the 8 p.m. ET/PT timeslot.
Station 19 will need to star the season wrapping up that big cliffhanger at the end of Season 6. We know Jack’s life is on the line, and a lot of fans will be worried that he’ll die, especially with it being the final season.

Station 19* premieres on Thursday, March 14 at 10/9c on ABC.
