Fans of a Sweeney Todd style story will certainly want to check out the new show starring Justina Machado. The Horror of Dolores Roach follows a woman who has just been released from prison after a 16-year sentence.

She has no job prospects and no place to live. Fortunately, her old friend, Luis, has her back. He offers her a place to stay and helps her set up a masseuse business. That’s when things take a turn. While she wants to live the life of a good woman, she ends up falling back into the trap of being on the wrong side of the law.

The new series is a streaming original. There is one place to watch it. You’ll want Prime Video*.

As an original, it is going to be available on the Amazon streamer for good. Well, pretty much. While other networks are looking at removing content, Amazon hasn’t shown signs of following suit.

Is the series on Digital?

Don’t expect to see the series come out on Digital. As a streaming original, the best thing is to keep it exclusive to the streaming platform. Amazon hasn’t released much of its own content in a digital format in the past.

Will The Horror of Dolores Roach come to DVD and Blu-ray?

What about a DVD release? This one is possible. We have seen Amazon Originals come to DVD in the past, including The Boys and Jack Ryan. However, this doesn’t happen that often.

We would love to see more streaming originals head to DVD. It doesn’t take people away from the platform in the way that Digital releases do.
