The Witcher Season 2 is now available to stream in full. Where can you watch it, and will it come to DVD and Blu-ray?

The one series we’ve all been waiting for this year has finally arrived. After a two-year wait, you can now watch all eight episodes of The Witcher Season 2.

There is no doubt that you’ll want to binge your way through this. That’s the only suitable way to watch this epic fantasy series. It brings more action this season, as well as far more character development for young Ciri. Don’t expect her to spend the whole season wandering around the forest again!

Now you just need to know where you’re watching the season. Will it come to DVD and Blu-ray in the future?

Where to stream The Witcher online

There is only one place to watch the show. The Witcher Season 2 is available only on Netflix. This is the only place to watch the first season too.

The series is a Netflix Original Series. It’s also a global release, which means you can watch it on Netflix anywhere in the world.

The fact that it’s on Netflix comes with some bad news.

The Witcher Season 2 likely won’t come to DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital

Don’t expect the season to head to DVD and Blu-ray. The first season has not received a DVD release, so there’s no reason to think that the second season will.

Some Netflix shows do head to DVD and Blu-ray. This usually only happens if the production studio has put it in their contracts, and we usually see the DVD releases happen about a year after the episodes come to Netflix. That would have meant The Witcher would have been on DVD back in December 2020, but that didn’t happen. That’s why we don’t think Season 2 will get the DVD and Blu-ray treatment.

The same applies to Digital. It’s very rare for a Netflix show to be available to buy on Digital, even when they get DVD releases. It doesn’t make financial sense for Netflix to allow this as it takes subscribers away.

The best way to continue your love for the franchise is to either play the games or buy the books.
