Dominique Fishback stars as Dre in Swarm. She’s a woman obsessed with a certain celebrity, who is very much like Beyonce. In fact, there are a lot of elements to the story that will make you think of Beyonce’s story, including a rivalry with the celebrity’s sister.

The story itself isn’t about the singer, though. It’s about how far one fan will go to support her favorite artist. Dre will literally kill for Ni’Jah, and not just once. It’s a show that takes you down a very dark path, and there’s no doubt that you need to check it out.

By the time you get to the end, you’ll want more. So, will Amazon bring us more?

Swarm Season 2 is not going to happen at Prime Video

There is some bad news. This is not a series that will land a second season. This isn’t because Amazon has canceled it, either.

The series has been billed a limited series. It’s a one-and-done, and the ending, while open-ended, is also pretty clear. It helps that there’s the penultimate episode that goes into the “true crime case” that the series is supposed to be a fictionalized telling of.

Dre is going to be forever in the wind now. Well, unless someone wants to come back eventually and make a second season, but we don’t see that happening.
