The Boys is one of the best superhero shows on TV. You definitely want to watch The Boys Season 3, but it’s not coming to Amazon in June 2021.

We’ve scoured the list of everything coming to Amazon Prime Video in June 2021. It’s a short list, but we did check it twice…just like Santa! Sadly, The Boys Season 3 was nowhere to be seen.

We did kind of expect this, though. If the season was on the list, it would have been a huge surprise. After all, the show is still filming. It’s only recently that Jensen Ackles got out of his quarantine and has been able to make it to set to film his parts as Soldier Boy.

After filming, there is the post-production process. That’s going to take some time for a series like The Boys. Think about the superpowers and how the graphics need to look just right. This is a show where everything needs to be as perfect as possible.

So, we’ll be waiting. How long is that wait going to be?

When will The Boys Season 3 come to Amazon Prime Video?

We’re looking at the end of 2021 at the very earliest. If I’m honest, I’m not expecting the third season to arrive this year at all. I’m looking at February 2022 at the earliest.

We may get a few teases of things to come by the end of the year. That’s what happened at the end of 2019 and then we got the second season in September 2020.

Will the third season be a binge-watch? Probably not. It wasn’t Amazon’s choice to do the hybrid model. The series asked for a weekly release format because of the amount of stuff that happened in each episode. It worked best to give people time to process it all and discuss theories online. Not everyone likes that, but those who don’t can always wait until the full season is available to binge-watch.

This hybrid model is the best of both worlds for streaming. And it was quite nice not to have to race through the whole season. It felt like I could enjoy it with the weekly release.
